Amends the term "extraordinary costs" for the purposes of excess costs associated with special education students. The new definition of extraordinary costs would be educational costs that are over 3 times the average statewide special education cost.
Expands the authority of the town council to enact ordinances establishing procedures and standards related to the rental of motorized bicycles, motor scooters and motorized tricycles in New Shoreham.
Extends the sunset provision of § 16-16-24.2 to June 20, 2026.
Requires all public school teachers hired on or after July 1, 2024, to participate in the retirement system social security pursuant to chapter 7 of title 36.
Increases the income range up to fifty thousand dollars ($50,000) and tax credit up to eight hundred fifty dollars ($850), for elderly and disabled persons who own or rent their homes.
This joint resolution would provide payment of $500,000 to the City of Warwick for municipal services provided to Rhode Island T.F. Green International Airport.
