Relating to tax treatment of carried interest; prescribing an effective date.

Requires personal income taxpayer to add to federal taxable income amount of federal tax savings resulting from investment services partnership income being treated as net capital gain and taxed at lower rate on personal income taxpayer's federal return. Applies to tax years beginning on or after January 1, 2022. Takes effect on 91st day following adjournment sine die.

Relating to sex trafficking; prescribing an effective date.

Directs Department of Justice to study issues related to prosecution of sex trafficking crimes and to provide results of study to appropriate interim committees of Legislative Assembly no later than December 31, 2021. Sunsets January 2, 2022. Takes effect on 91st day following adjournment sine die.

Relating to occupational disease; declaring an emergency.

Expands presumptive cause of occupational disease for covered nonvolunteer firefighters to include any cancer that may result from exposure to substances that nonvolunteer firefighter is routinely exposed to in course of employment as nonvolunteer firefighter. Requires Director of Department of Consumer and Business Services to submit to interim committees of Legislative Assembly related to employment report, based on information reported to director by insurers and self-insured employers, setting forth separate number of presumptive cancer claims of nonvolunteer firefighters that were paid in full, settled or denied. Declares emergency, effective on passage.

Relating to program providing financial assistance to recipients who receive supplemental nutrition assistance; declaring an emergency.

Requires Department of Human Services to contract with nonprofit organization to implement and administer program to assist recipients of supplemental nutrition assistance in purchasing locally grown fruits and vegetables from farmers' markets, farm share sites and retail outlets that participate in program. Appropriates moneys from General Fund to department to be distributed to nonprofit organization that has contracted with department to implement and administer program and match amounts that recipient spends on certain eligible foods. Sunsets January 2, 2024. Declares emergency, effective on passage.

Relating to a regional transmission organization; and declaring an emergency.

Requires State Department of Energy to establish public process for purpose of investigating potential costs and benefits that would arise from electric utilities participation in regional transmission organization. Requires department to report findings to interim committees of Legislative Assembly related to energy and business no later than September 15, 2022. ] Sunsets January 2, 2023. ] Requires State Department of Energy to prepare report identifying benefits, opportunities and challenges posed by development or expansion of regional transmission organization in this state. Requires department to follow certain procedures in preparing report. Requires department to provide report to interim committees of Legislative Assembly related to energy no later than December 31, 2021. Sunsets January 2, 2022. Declares emergency, effective on passage.
