Reaffirming the State of Oregon's commitment to its relationship with the People's Republic of China.

Maddy summarySCR 32 is a symbolic concurrent resolution reaffirming Oregon's commitment to its existing relationship with the People's Republic of China. It does not create new laws or obligations but formally endorses Oregon's longstanding ties, including sister-state relationships with Fujian Province and Tianjin Municipality. The resolution supports existing initiatives like the Oregon-China Sister State Committee and Oregon China Council, and directs sending a copy to Chinese diplomatic offices in Washington, D.C., and San Francisco. It has no direct impact on specific individuals or businesses, as it serves only to express legislative support for ongoing diplomatic and economic exchanges.

Relating to health care.

Maddy summaryThis Oregon bill prohibits health insurance plans from charging deductibles, copays, or coinsurance for cervical cancer screenings and follow-up examinations. It covers preventive screenings (like Pap tests) and necessary follow-ups for abnormal results, as defined by health guidelines, but excludes treatments for diagnosed cancer. The law applies to all group and individual health insurance plans in Oregon, removing financial barriers to early detection.
