Provides that registered nurse providing patient care in good faith is immune from criminal liability for act or omission that is part of provision of care unless offense has intentional or knowing culpable mental state.
Allows physician to prescribe continuous glucose monitor to certain patients whether or not physician specializes in endocrinology. Requires medical assistance and health insurance to provide, as pharmacy benefit, coverage of or payment or reimbursement for continuous glucose monitor prescribed by physician. ] Requires medical assistance to include continuous glucose monitor for specified recipients of medical assistance. Defines "continuous glucose monitor."
Permits Secretary of State to collect and share and communicate with approved organizations information about ethnicity, domicile and ] gender, veteran status and street address or electronic mail address of owner or principal of large ] business that applies for or renews license, permit or ] registration in this state. Requires local agencies and state agencies to collect and report information about ethnicity, domicile and veteran status of owner or principal of large business. ] Takes effect on 91st day following adjournment sine die.
Requires governing board at each public university to include graduate student as voting member if university has more than 400 graduate students or if graduate students comprise more than 15 percent of total student body.
Modifies conditions of eligibility for tax credit allowed to rural medical care provider. Removes eligibility limitation on adjusted gross income of individual providing rural medical care, restrictions on types of hospitals and tiered amounts of allowable credit based on distance from certain municipalities. Increases credit amount. Removes requirement of hospital consulting privileges applicable to optometrist claiming credit. Applies to tax years beginning on or after January 1, 2024. Takes effect on 91st day following adjournment sine die.
Directs Oregon Health Authority to establish program ] Nurse Educator Workforce Stipend Program to provide incentives to nurse instructors. Takes effect on 91st day following adjournment sine die.
Provides statewide minimum wage rate beginning on July 1, 2024. Establishes scheduled rate increases beginning on July 1, 2025. Requires Commissioner of Bureau of Labor and Industries to index minimum wage rates to inflation after June 30, 2030. Modifies weekly hourly threshold at which overtime compensation must be paid. Makes conforming amendments.
Appropriates moneys to Oregon Business Development Department to award grants to communities ] cities and Oregon Indian tribes with high poverty rate ] rates for purpose of developing local poverty reduction plans. Declares emergency, effective on passage.
Directs Oregon State University to research reduced-risk pest management tools for Oregon's specialty crops and report to interim committees of Legislative Assembly no later than September 15, 2027. Declares emergency, effective on passage.
