Makes unlawful employment practice for employer to deny reasonable accommodation to known limitations related to pregnancy, childbirth or related medical condition or to ] , because of known limitations related to pregnancy, childbirth or related medical condition of job applicant or employee, take certain actions related to reasonable accommodations to known limitations related to pregnancy, childbirth or related medical condition. Specifies that requirements apply to employers who employ six or more persons. Requires employer to post notice to employees of provisions of law prohibiting employment discrimination because of pregnancy and protections provided under Act. Requires employer to provide copy of notice to employees at certain times. Requires Commissioner of Bureau of Labor and Industries to adopt rules to establish ] develop training and outreach ] education materials to inform employers and employees of obligations, rights and protections related to pregnancy-related employment discrimination and reasonable accommodations available for pregnancy, childbirth and related medical conditions.
Excludes , for limited duration, certain employees of Oregon State Police from meaning of supervisory employee for purposes of public employment.
Modifies list of mandatory reporters of suspected child abuse to include animal control officers.
Directs Department of State Police to study how to increase and improve criminal justice resources relating to missing and murdered Native American women in Oregon and report to appropriate committee or interim committee of Legislative Assembly no later than September 15, 2020. Requires long term care facilities, residential facilities and adult foster homes to provide residents with information developed by Long Term Care Ombudsman describing availability and services of Long Term Care Ombudsman. Excuses Long Term Care Ombudsman from reporting abuse of person who is 65 years of age or older or who is residing in long term care facility if report would violate federal law. Declares emergency, effective on passage.
Permits contracting agency, in conducting procurement for architectural, engineering, photogrammetric mapping, transportation planning and land surveying services, to consider pricing policies, proposals and other pricing information as part of screening and selection of consultants in specified circumstances. Specifies allowable contents of pricing proposals. Specifies protest rights for prospective consultants. Becomes operative on January 1, 2020. Takes effect on 91st day following adjournment sine die.
Alters period during which former member of Legislative Assembly is prohibited from being paid lobbyist from sine die of next regular session that begins after person ceases to be member to one year after person ceases to be member.
