Requires State Department of Fish and Wildlife to develop and implement program to provide Oregon businesses, communities and landowners with technical assistance regarding nonlethal methods to reduce conflict between humans and wildlife.
Imposes assessment on large employers with employees who receive or who have minor children who receive certain types of public assistance in this state, in amount equal to public assistance paid. Requires that moneys collected are used to support programs for low-income individuals and families. Makes refusal to hire recipient of public assistance or adverse employment action against recipient of public assistance unfair employment practice. Applies to tax years beginning on or after January 1, 2022.
Establishes procedure for aggrieved person, whistleblower or representative organization to bring action in name of state to recover civil penalties for violations of certain laws related to labor and employment. Provides for distribution of civil penalties recovered.
Establishes Oregon Cash Depository Corporation as independent public corporation and prescribes corporation's purposes and powers. Directs corporation to lease or acquire real property and construct or renovate offices, facilities and business locations throughout state at which corporation receives, handles, stores and dispenses cash and other valuable property. Establishes Oregon Cash Depository Corporation Fund in State Treasury and requires corporation to deposit all moneys corporation receives into fund. Permits corporation to invest moneys in fund and fraction of corporation's deposits in accordance with provisions of Act. Subjects corporation to annual audit by Secretary of State and requires corporation to respond to recommendations in audit report. Requires study of corporation's operations every four years and report to Legislative Assembly. Requires Attorney General to defend corporation and directors, officers and employees of corporation against claim or charge brought for actions in performing duties of corporation. Becomes operative January 1, 2020. Declares emergency, effective on passage.
Allows resident serving, or who has served, in Armed Forces of United States to obtain free licenses for hunting, angling or shellfish.
Resolves that in each biennium, Legislative Assembly shall appropriate from General Fund to Department of Veterans' Affairs amount that is no less than amount appropriated from General Fund to Department of Veterans' Affairs in biennium beginning July 1, 2015, as adjusted.
Allows Oregon Liquor Control Commission to enter into interstate agreements with agencies of other states for purpose of ensuring multistate enforcement of standards for wine consistent with standards of state where wine was produced.
Appropriates moneys to Oregon Department of Administrative Services to increase size and diversity of group of court appointed special advocates.
Provides that hours worked by retired police officer employed by school district to provide law enforcement, security or safety services ] certain law enforcement employees do not count for purposes of limitations on reemployment of retired member of Public Employees Retirement System.
Removes prohibition on payment of unemployment insurance benefits to nonprofessional employees of educational institution providing facilities or janitorial services for weeks of unemployment commencing during period between two successive academic years or terms. Prohibits reimbursable employer from advising, or communicating conclusion to, employee about employee's eligibility for unemployment insurance benefits ] employer that is this state or political subdivision of this state from informing employee that employee is ineligible for unemployment insurance benefits unless Director of Employment Department has determined that employee is ineligible . Requires reimbursable ] employer that is this state or political subdivision of this state to provide employees with any information about eligibility for benefits that is provided to employer by Employment Department ] director . Authorizes reimbursable ] employer that is this state or political subdivision of this state to provide employees with any other information about eligibility for benefits that is approved by department ] director .
