SB 956: Relating to wastewater treatment; prescribing an effective date.

Appropriates moneys from the General Fund to the Oregon Department of Administrative Services to provide a grant to Heard Farms to expand wastewater treatment infrastructure. Takes effect on the 91st day following adjournment sine die.

SB 290: Relating to public health.

Requires the Oregon Health Authority to study public health. Directs the authority to submit findings to the interim committees of the Legislative Assembly related to public health no later than September 15, 2026. Sunsets on January 2, 2027.

SB 996: Relating to small modular reactor energy facilities.

Allows the siting and operation of a small modular reactor energy facility without requiring that there be a licensed repository for the disposal of high-level radioactive waste.

SB 1192: Relating to hydroelectric water rights.

Provides that the Water Resources Director may not forcibly convert a hydroelectric water right whose holder has ceased generating electricity on instruction from the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission if certain other criteria are met.

SB 1124: Relating to public transit vehicle operators.

Expands the crime of assault in the third degree to include assault of a public transit vehicle operator performing official duties. Punishes by a maximum of five years' imprisonment, $125,000 fine, or both. Expands the crime of aggravated harassment to include knowing propulsion of bodily fluids at a public transit vehicle operator performing official duties. Punishes by a maximum of five years' imprisonment, $125,000 fine, or both.

SB 637: Relating to the transfer to the State Highway Fund of charges imposed to reduce greenhouse gas emissions from the use of motor vehicle fuel.

Requires state agencies that administer programs to reduce greenhouse gas emissions from the combustion of motor vehicle fuel to deposit fees, assessments or other charges imposed pursuant to the program in the State Highway Fund. Directs the Governor to include in the Governor's budget an estimate of the amounts to be transferred in the coming biennium and recommendations for alternative revenue sources.

SB 55: Relating to farm cafes.

Establishes standards for establishment of farm cafes on lands in Lane County zoned for exclusive farm use. Requires the Oregon Health Authority to review a land use compatibility statement before licensing a farm cafe. Authorizes the authority to revoke, deny or suspend a license upon certain violations of land use conditions.
