Enacts the "employment first choice act" to ensure that an individual with developmental disabilities in a nonintegrated setting shall have the right to remain in such a setting under certain circumstances.
Establishes offenses of sexual assault against a child by a person in a position of trust for the subjection of a child to sexual contact by a person in a position of trust; defines "person in position of trust" as a person charged with the duty or responsibility for health, education, welfare or supervision of a child; such offenses shall be violent felony offenses.
Creates a "Grown in New York" program campaign to increase awareness and consumption of locally grown and produced foods and related products, and to increase the production and improve the distribution of foods and related products for local consumption.
Relates to requiring postsecondary institutions that participate in study abroad programs to report crime and harm that occurs to participating students.
Requires inmates in state and county-owned or operated correctional facilities to make medical co-payments of seven dollars upon receipt of medical treatment; provides that an inmate shall not be refused treatment for lack of ability to pay co-payment charges; directs all moneys collected to be made available for the operation of such correctional facility.
Relates to the suspension and revocation of a license to carry firearms; relates to the applicability of certain provisions of the penal law, large capacity ammunition feeding devices, and gun licenses; relates to effectiveness of certain provisions of the NY SAFE Act relating to suspension and revocation of firearms licenses, private sale or disposal of firearms, rifles or shotguns; establishes a minimum age to possess a firearm; repeals various other provisions of law relating to the NY SAFE Act.
