Authorizes the county of Wayne to impose a hotel or motel room or seasonal rental occupancy tax; provides for the repeal of such provisions upon the expiration thereof.
Directs counties and the city of New York to contact a veterans' organization to provide for the disposition of the unclaimed remains of a deceased veteran when such veteran has no next of kin or other person designated to provide for the disposition of his or her remains; provides process.
Authorizes the town of Webster, county of Monroe, to alienate certain lands used as parkland by the Candlewood Park District and to dedicate certain other lands as parkland for use by the Bear Creek park district.
Requires veterinarians to provide certain information to animal owners regarding the drugs dispensed to an animal, including the name and description of the drug; the directions for use; actions to be taken in the event of a missed dose; instructions for proper storage; any common reasonably anticipated adverse effects associated with the use of such drug; and manufacturer precautions and relevant warnings.
Relates to the calculation of past service credit for members in the title of deputy sheriff transferring between the New York state and local employees' retirement system to the New York state and local police and fire retirement system.
Safeguards cash accounts for people with developmental disabilities in a facility under the control of the commissioner of mental health, the commissioner of the office for people with developmental disabilities and the commissioner of alcoholism and substance abuse services.
Authorizes municipalities to offer a real property tax exemption for property owned by certain persons performing active duty in a combat zone in an amount to the extent of fifteen percent of the assessed value of the real property, but shall not exceed twelve thousand dollars.
Relates to the general powers and duties of the canal corporation; requires the canal corporation to cause the locks and lift bridges of the canal system to be operated May first through November fifteenth annually; requires the canal corporation to maintain and preserve the Erie Canal's historic resources; permits certain usage of the canal system's state drydocks, travel lifts, and other facilities for commercial boat companies.
