Lowers the age of eligibility from 21 to 18 for a class A license or for a commercial driver's license which contains an H or an X endorsement or which is valid for operation in interstate commerce.
Authorizes fire districts to expend from revenues amounts appropriated for cost of insurance to provide firefighters with an enhanced cancer disability benefit insurance program.
Relates to the assessment for the state fiscal year that begins on April 1, 2019, and state fiscal years that begin on and after April 1, 2020.
Provides a filing extension for the "enhanced" STAR exemption to initial applicants provided that such applicants have not been granted such extension before and such applicants are otherwise entitled to the exemption.
Enacts the comprehensive diversity in procurement and employment act of 2018 to encourage full and equal participation in public sector business opportunities across the state.
Enacts the "social media monitoring safety act" to provide data analytic resources and funding to every school district to facilitate the monitoring of social media activities to provide early-detection information of possible threats to a student's health and the safety of the school; and makes an appropriation therefor.
Establishes the rate of tax on the furnishing of utility services for the years 2018 through 2022.
Authorizes a person holding the office of assistant district attorney in the county of Lewis to reside in an adjoining county within the state.
