Requires the commissioner of transportation to establish, maintain, monitor and publicize a hotline operated and maintained by the department of motor vehicles through which any person may report safety issues with stretch limousines and to use such reports when determining withdrawing a motor carrier's operating authority or denying applications for new or revised operating authority.
Designates certain university and community college campuses as polling places for early voting.
Establishes procurement goals for New York state food products on SUNY campuses.
Relates to school session days; adds general election day to the list of days when school will not be in session; allows a school district to elect to require staff attendance on a general election day or to schedule a professional development day.
Removes caps on automated enforcement cameras for bus lanes and traffic lights in the city of New York, increases penalties and creates a graduated schedule of fines for repeat offenders, and directs that fines be deposited in the general transportation account of the New York city transportation assistance fund; extends the effectiveness of part II of chapter 59 of the laws of 2010 amending the vehicle and traffic law and the public officers law relating to establishing a bus rapid transit demonstration program to restrict the use of bus lanes by means of bus lane photo devices.
Establishes portable polling locations for early voting; provides that a county board of elections may establish two or more portable polling locations.
Establishes an electronic personal voter registration process integrated within designated agency applications; requires the state board of elections to promulgate necessary rules and regulations; makes related provisions.
Specifies additional routes where there is an exemption on the maximum dimensions of certain vehicles proceeding to and from the New York state thruway.
Establishes a New York state senior citizens loan forgiveness program.
