Relates to split shifts for election inspectors or poll clerks

Maddy summaryThis bill allows county election boards to hire poll workers on split shifts, meaning they can work different hours rather than the same continuous shift. To ensure oversight, the law requires that at least one inspector from each of the two major political parties must be present at the polling site for the entire time the polls are open. Counties will be responsible for creating specific rules to manage these shifts and maintain proper operations at the polls. The changes apply immediately to current and future election staffing arrangements.
