Directs the commissioner of the office of addiction services and supports to promulgate rules and regulations for providers operating in rural locations while taking into account the extra challenges encountered by such providers, including but not limited to, increased and additional expenses.
Includes organizations and programs that provide community based services to individuals under twenty-one in the definition of provider or provider agency regarding the statewide central register of child abuse and maltreatment.
Relates to medically fragile young adults and pediatric specialized nursing facilities; allows for such young adults to remain in such facilities from age twenty-one until age thirty-six.
Relates to the delivery of services that are clinical in nature by persons serving in programs under the jurisdiction of the department of mental hygiene, while under a level of supervision by a licensed professional as determined by the appropriate mental hygiene commissioner.
Establishes an addiction recovery supportive transportation services demonstration program to provide such transportation services to individuals while such individual is receiving treatment, including, but not limited to, inpatient, residential or outpatient treatment.
Protects patients from liens against their primary residence and wage garnishment due to money judgments arising from actions brought by hospitals or health care professionals.
Authorizes facilities for the care and treatment of the mentally disabled to provide treatment for the mental health and health care needs of individuals admitted for a substance use disorder; provides that such services shall be reimbursable by Medicaid and private insurance.
