Defines "probable aggregate annual income" for purposes of determining eligibility for limited profit and limited dividend housing companies, as the annual net income after federal, state and municipal income taxes are deducted from gross income of the chief wage earner.
Assesses an employer a civil penalty of not less than one thousand nor more than ten thousand dollars, per violation where an employer requires a nurse to work more than such nurse's regularly scheduled work hours; further provides that the employee shall receive an additional fifteen percent of the overtime payment from the employer for each violation.
Directs the division of housing and community renewal to study non-rental fees charged by landlords and report to the legislature.
Requires any person, firm, partnership, corporation, or association, or agent or employee thereof, which offers, in the regular course of business, an established senior citizen, student or veteran discount on the price of admission or membership thereto, to offer a discount on the price of admission or membership to disabled individuals.
Provides that the office of non-public school services shall create and revise a document titled the state standards report which is to be completed by the superintendent of every school district for each non-public school in such district, and which will assist and guide the school district in determining that all resident children attending a school other than a public school receive instruction from competent teachers and is at least substantially equivalent to the instruction given to minors of like age and attainments at the public schools where the minor resides; makes related provisions.
Relates to implementing a moratorium on the installation of new digital billboards and directing the commissioner of transportation to conduct a study on the impact of digital billboards on motor vehicle accidents.
Establishes a common articulation policy at the state of New York and city of New York university systems for granting college credit bearing coursework based upon successful performance on standardized exams completed by high school students.
Exempts certain low income housing accommodations from local real property taxation in a city with a population of one million or more.
Relates to establishing instruction in financial literacy for students in sixth through eighth grade; requires such instruction to include content on budgeting, savings, credit, debt, insurance, investment, and other issues associated with personal financial responsibility as determined by the education department.
