Establishes the office of flooding prevention and mitigation to manage and coordinate the work of task forces, commissions, and other bodies and programs tasked with examining issues related to flooding, to review and assess best practices and make recommendations regarding flood prevention and mitigation, and to assist municipalities in developing strategies and policies to combat flooding.
Makes technical corrections to a provision requiring the use of gender-neutral terms in law.
Permits the commissioner of health to share deidentified information as strictly necessary to respond to a public health emergency or an imminent threat to public health, or to consult and cooperate with the appropriate agencies of the federal government or of other states in accordance with the functions, powers, and duties of the department, and may share identified information in such circumstances only when strictly necessary and with the consent of the patient.
Provides that either party to a workers' compensation claim can request a hearing; requires a record of all hearings held.
Relates to increasing the standards of monthly need and home energy grant amounts for persons in receipt of public assistance.
Expands eligibility for temporary disability insurance and paid family leave benefits; makes conforming technical changes.
