Prohibits the manufacture or sale of cosmetics tested on animals; punishable by a fine of not more than five thousand dollars for the first violation and not more than one thousand dollars per day if the violation continues; the attorney general may investigate and bring an action for violations.
Creates climate negligence for dangers to safety and health caused by knowingly or recklessly creating, maintaining or contributing to a condition that causes such danger; creates a private right of action.
Provides for regulating immigration bail businesses including restrictions on who may operate such a business; provides for who may bring an action against an immigration bail business.
Requires courts, prior to accepting a plea, to provide notice to the defendant that such plea and the acceptance thereof could result in deportation, removal from the United States, exclusion from the United States or denial of citizenship, if the defendant is not a citizen of the United States.
Directs the department of environmental conservation to promulgate air quality standards for emissions of certain toxic air contaminants.
Prohibits certain provisions in health plan contracts including most-favored-nation provisions and restrictions on disclosure of actual claim costs, prices or quality in certain situations.
Requires the counting of an affidavit ballot of an eligible voter if such voter appeared at a polling place in the correct county but in the incorrect election district; provides that such vote shall not be cast and canvassed for such contests for which the person was not entitled to vote at such election.
Requires the commissioner of mental health to issue a report on short term crisis respite programs and intensive crisis respite programs.
Expands requirements for the provision of informed consent.
Increases the minimum wage annually; provides for the enforcement of the minimum wage; repeals certain provisions of law relating thereto.
