Establishes a real property tax exemption for the primary residence of veterans with a 100 percent service connected disability.
Establishes the crime of aggravated disorderly conduct; designates such crime as a specified offense for the purposes of hate crimes.
Establishes the payment of certain volunteer firefighter and volunteer ambulance worker death benefits shall be within ninety days of the filing of application to receive such death benefit.
Authorizes the transfer of memberships for certain members of the New York state and local police and fire retirement system who previously held a membership with the New York state and local employees' retirement system back to such retirement system.
Requires that local governments comply with a detainer request issued by a federal law enforcement agency; requires that such local government not interfere with the ability of federal law enforcement officials to conduct enforcement activities at municipal or county jails in furtherance of their duty to enforce federal laws.
Enacts the New York state antisemitism vandalism act which establishes the crime of vandalism of pro-Israel print, which provides a class A misdemeanor for any individual who intentionally destroys, damages, removes, or causes to be destroyed, damaged or removed any banner, poster, flyer or billboard which is located in a public space, where the intent or purpose of such banner, poster, flyer or billboard is to bring awareness for Israeli individuals who have been victims of a crime, or to positively support the country or citizens of Israel in any way.
Establishes the climate leadership and community protection act cost task force to study the impact on taxpayers and ratepayers of the implementation of the mandates set forth by the climate leadership and community protection act.
Authorizes the New York state energy research and development authority in cooperation with the department of transportation to establish the New York state hydrogen vehicle task force to provide the governor and the legislature with information on the potential effects of expanding the fleet of hydrogen fuel cell vehicles in the state.
