Maddy summaryThis bill (S 7267) changes how parking violation tickets are handled in New York. It allows drivers to get a parking ticket dismissed if the ticket notice has missing, incorrect, or unclear information (like a wrong address or vehicle details). The dismissal happens automatically when the driver requests it, even if a court had previously entered a default judgment against them. This applies to tickets issued 90 days after the law takes effect. The bill directly affects drivers who receive flawed parking violation notices.
