Requires schools to develop a seizure action plan for students diagnosed with a seizure disorder and have teachers trained for if a student has a seizure.
Expands the investigative authority of the attorney general to investigate the alleged commission of sexual misconduct, sexual harassment, sexual abuse or sexual assault with respect to statewide elected officials, members of the legislature, employees of the legislature, state officers and employees, candidates for statewide elected office and candidates for the senate or assembly.
Provides for the confidentiality of personnel records of police officers, firefighters, correction officers and probation officers.
Provides that the governing body of municipal corporation, may by resolution agree to join together with any municipal corporation or corporations to establish a joint insurance fund for the purpose of insuring against liability, property damage, and workers' compensation, insuring against loss or theft of moneys or securities, providing blanket bond coverage of certain county or municipal officers and employees for faithful performance and discharge of their duties under the public officers' law, insuring against bodily injury and property damage claims arising from environmental impairment liability and legal representation therefor to the extent that such coverages; makes related provisions.
Requires insurers to send a notice of renewal or extension of certain policies to the insured no later than thirty days prior to the expiration of the policy.
Provides a tax exemption on real property owned by members of volunteer fire companies or voluntary ambulance services in counties with a population of more than 338,000 but less than 339,000.
Provides notifications for E-ZPass transactions that notifies the holder of an E-ZPass that he or she has passed through a toll plaza operated by the New York state thruway authority and a transaction has posted to such holder's account for his or her electronic toll collection device.
Directs the division of criminal justice services to accept electronic submission of reports or other information from local law enforcement agencies.
Establishes the crime of making a terroristic threat against a police officer; makes such crime a class C felony.
Relates to county-wide shared services panels; includes library districts within county-wide shared services panels; establishes the municipal efficiency fund to provide counties with awards of matching funds upon certification by the department of state.
