Ensures ovarian cancer survivors have the right to access screenings for health conditions

Maddy summaryThis bill guarantees that individuals with a history of ovarian cancer cannot be denied access to specific genetic screenings. It requires health insurers and providers to cover genetic testing for BRCA1/BRCA2 mutations, Lynch syndrome, and other ovarian cancer-related genetic markers without frequency limits or arbitrary restrictions. The law directly affects ovarian cancer survivors by ensuring they can receive necessary follow-up screenings determined by their treating healthcare provider. Key provisions remove barriers like annual caps on testing, making required screenings more accessible as part of ongoing care.
