Maddy summaryThis bill authorizes volunteer firefighter Larry Mendel to receive a service award he was denied due to record-keeping errors after 30 years of service with the Patterson Volunteer Fire Department. It grants him the benefits he would have received under the state's length of service award program had his service records been properly maintained, using his existing service certificates as proof. The costs for this correction will be covered by Glatfelter Specialty Benefits, the contracted administrator for the program. The bill directly affects only Larry Mendel, correcting a specific oversight without changing any broader program rules.
