Relates to state aid eligibility for library construction; provides that aid shall be provided on approved expenses incurred during the period commencing July first and ending June thirtieth for up to six years, or until the project is completed, whichever occurs first.
Directs the department of health to develop state food guidelines for foods purchased, served, and sold by state agencies, programs, and institutions and on state property.
Provides for a premium reduction for physicians and licensed midwives who complete a risk management strategies course in obstetrics or midwifery.
Relates to the statute of limitations for civil actions related to certain sexual offenses committed against a person eighteen years of age or older, revives such actions otherwise barred by the existing statute of limitations and grants trial preference to such actions; directs the chief administrator of the courts to promulgate rules for the timely adjudication of certain revived actions.
Relates to preserving access to affordable drugs; provides that an agreement resolving or settling, on a final or interim basis, a patent infringement claim, in connection with the sale of a pharmaceutical product, shall be presumed to have anticompetitive effects if a nonreference drug filer receives anything of value from another company asserting patent infringement and if the nonreference drug filer agrees to limit or forego research, development, manufacturing, marketing, or sales of the nonreference drug filer's product for any period of time.
Relates to regulation of the billing of facility fees; requires notice prior to billing facility fees not covered by a patient's insurance; defines facility fees as those charged by a hospital, facility or provider designed to compensate for operational costs separate from professional fees.
Requires the court to consider a child's health and safety when making a decision regarding child custody and visitation; directs presumptions that may be made by the court and admissibility of certain evidence in such cases; requires court officials to take part in training to handle such cases regarding domestic violence and child abuse.
Requires degree-granting institutions of higher education to make certain annual disclosures and to conspicuously publish the report on the website of such institution and submit the website address of such report to the department.
Requires the counting of an affidavit ballot of an eligible voter if such voter appeared at a polling place in the correct county but in the incorrect election district; provides that such vote shall not be cast and canvassed for such contests for which the person was not entitled to vote at such election.
