Authorizes the public to participate in public meetings in person or remotely through the use of a telephone conference, a video conference, and/or other similar technology.
Establishes the "Vets to Vollies" program which encourages veterans or discharged military personnel to join their local fire department and emergency medical service agency.
Provides for a formal process for a parent or legal guardian to request the issuance of an AMBER alert.
Allows veterans of the armed forces of the United States to fish for free in state parks under the jurisdiction of a state agency.
Relates to court ordered forensic evaluations and reports in child custody and visitation proceedings.
Establishes a temporary task force on the variable supplements fund program to make findings and recommendations.
Prohibits the diminution of health insurance benefits of public employee retirees and their dependents or reducing the employer's contributions for such insurance; defines employers to include the state, municipalities, school districts, and public authorities and commissions.
Requires every employer to provide each employee with the equivalent number of hours as three full work days for such employee of paid sick leave for a miscarriage or stillbirth of an infant born to the employee.
Provides an exemption for the sale of the first $35,000 for a battery, electric, or plug-in hybrid electric vehicle from state sales and compensating use taxes; authorizes local governments to elect such incentives; repeals the hybrid exemption after ten years.
