Authorizes courts to order remand or bail in certain prostitution and labor trafficking cases.
Enacts the birds and bees protection act; prohibits the sale of certain pesticides or use of seeds coated with such pesticides; requires the department of environmental conservation to review the latest scientific information concerning certain pesticide active ingredients.
Establishes the "advanced building codes, appliance and equipment efficiency standards act of 2022"; adds the promotion of clean energy and the implementation of the climate agenda set forth in the New York state climate leadership and community protection act to the state energy conservation construction code; increases the efficiency standards of appliances and equipment by the state energy conservation construction code; increases the energy efficiency standards of appliances and equipment.
Relates to mandatory training curriculum for poll workers; requires the state board of elections to develop and provide to each county materials for a model poll worker training program which the counties may use to train individuals to serve as poll workers in state and county elections.
Requires a city, town or village to clearly display 25 miles per hour speed limits on such city, town or village's highways.
Establishes the electric landscaping equipment rebate program to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, improve air quality, and reduce noise pollution by promoting the adoption of quieter, zero-emission landscaping equipment; provides for rebates at the point of sale for applicants purchasing or leasing certain equipment; provides for the repeal of such provisions upon expiration thereof.
Provides that the department of transportation shall not require a survey as part of an agreement with any fiber optic utility for use and occupancy of a state right of way for the purposes of installing, modifying, relocating, repairing, operating, or maintaining fiber optic facilities as part of the department's consolidated application, when such use and occupancy of the state right of way is utilizing existing infrastructure, including but not limited to aerial pole attachments and underground conduits.
Provides for the declination of a designation as a candidate or nomination for a party position if the person designated or nominated has received a diagnosis of a life-threatening illness, has been indicted for a crime or has resigned the office for which they are nominated or designated to run for re-election.
