Decriminalizes certain prostitution offenses; amends provisions relating to prosecution of such offenses and vacating judgments.
Provides a deceased tenant's legal representative the option to terminate such tenant's lease upon notice to the landlord.
Updates certain requirements regarding billing for electric services, such as when corporations shall use an approved demand measuring device, mandating that classifications of service, the account and/or meter number, and the quantity billed be indicated on customers' bills.
Establishes a Black youth suicide prevention task force to study the current mental health practices and suicide prevention of Black youth age 5 through 18 years and make recommendations therefor; provides for the number of members, manner of appointment and the topics to be reviewed.
Provides for automatic sealing of certain convictions after a certain passage of time from either imposition of sentence, release from parole or probation, and if the defendant does not have a current charge pending; excludes certain offenses; permits access by certain persons.
Establishes venue in actions to recover student debt; provides that in actions to recover student debt owed to the state of New York, the place of trial shall be the residence of the defendant, if one resides in the state.
Relates to expanding access to advanced courses to improve educational equity beginning with notification to parents and students on the benefits and opportunities offered as well as automatic enrollment opportunities.
Directs the commissioner of education to issue guidance to school districts for developing programs to attract underrepresented candidates into the teaching profession and to identify funding available to school districts for such purposes.
Modifies certain eligibility requirements and extends the time period for the payment of arrears for certain taxes.
Relates to reporting the use of force by a police officer or peace officer; includes pointing a firearm at or in the direction of another person as a use of force which must be reported.
