Requires dating violence education and dating violence policies in school districts, boards of cooperative educational services and county vocational education and extension boards; establishes that "dating violence" means a pattern of behavior where one person uses threats of, or actually uses physical, sexual, verbal or emotional abuse to control his or her dating partner; requires the department, in conjunction with the office for the prevention of domestic violence, to assist schools in developing a policy for dating violence incidents; requires such education to be taught to students regarding dating violence in the annual health curriculum framework for students in grades 7 through 12.
Relates to state assessments and teacher evaluations; makes certain provisions permanent.
Relates to clean air taxicabs; provides for the issuance of one thousand three hundred fifty clean air taxicab medallions; repeals certain provisions.
Relates to admission to a special high school in a city school district in a city having a population of one million or more.
Relates to prohibiting the sale of child care products containing bisphenol; establishes that beginning on December 31, 2019 no person, firm, partnership, association, limited liability company or corporation shall sell or offer for sale any child care product intended for use by a child three years of age or younger containing bisphenol AF (BPAF), bisphenol Z (BPZ), bisphenol S (BPS), bisphenol F (BPF), bisphenol AP (BPAP) and bisphenol B (BPB).
Enacts the "firearms and tobacco divestment act"; requires the comptroller to divest from firearm and tobacco product manufacturers.
Enacts "private environmental law enforcement act"; authorizes any private citizen who has an interest which is or may be adversely affected to commence civil judicial actions for injunctive or declaratory relief to remedy environmental harms under certain circumstances; provides that such action may be commenced against any person for any violation of an administrative or court order compelling an investigation or remediation of an inactive hazardous waste disposal site.
Establishes a schedule VI of drugs and other substances; includes gabapentin as a drug to be monitored through the prescription monitoring program; makes conforming changes; and directs the commissioner of health to promulgate regulations necessary or desirable to classify gabapentin and its chemical equivalents as a scheduled substance for the purposes of article 33 of the public health law.
Directs the New York city housing authority to establish occupant protection plans for projects having lead paint.
