Requires the metropolitan transportation authority to create ten-year capital program plans.
Relates to prohibitions on fur products; prohibits the manufacture, sale, display for sale, trade, giving, donating, or otherwise distributing of a fur product by any means in the state beginning twenty-four months after this act becomes a law.
Provides a civil action for deprivation of rights which is caused by any person or public entity.
Prohibits prior peace officers or police officers whose position as such was terminated or vacated due to misconduct from again becoming a peace officer or a police officer.
Establishes the "public interest legal services loan assistance fund" of the state of New York (to consist of a portion of bar examination fees and other funds appropriated by the legislature therefor and such other monies as may be credited or otherwise transferred from any other fund or source pursuant to law, including voluntary contributions); provides for administration of such fund to assist public service attorneys practicing public interest law in repaying their student loans; defines certain terms and adds other related provisions.
Prohibits agreements between employers that directly restrict the current or future employment of any employee; allows for a cause of action against employers who engage in such agreements.
Provides that any standardized test or examination shall not be subject to any time limitation when administered by the city district.
Relates to price gouging; imposes criminal penalties for price gouging; removes language relating to the declaration of a state of emergency; increases civil penalty; authorizes a district attorney to enforce provisions.
Relates to permitting lessees the option to pay security deposits in six or fewer equal installments.
