Requires the department of corrections and community supervision to offer civic engagement courses to incarcerated individuals prior to their release

Requires the department of corrections and community supervision to provide a nonpartisan, peer-led civic engagement program for incarcerated individuals in all correctional facilities in this state which shall be completed by each incarcerated individual within one year prior to their release.

Establishes an affordable housing program

Establishes an affordable housing program to be administered by the division of homes and community renewal which will provide loans or grants to certain property owners; provides that property owners receiving such loans or grants shall rent such property for no more than thirty-three percent of a tenant's income.

Relates to floor area ratio

Relates to floor area ratio; provides that except as otherwise provided in and determined under a zoning law, ordinance, or resolution of a city with a population of one million or more, or after consultation with local officials, as provided in a general project plan of the New York state urban development corporation, the floor area ratio (FAR) of any dwelling or dwellings on a lot shall not exceed 12.0.

Requires the department of labor to study the long-term impact of artificial intelligence on the state workforce

Requires the department of labor to study the long-term impact of artificial intelligence on the state workforce including but not limited to on job performance, productivity, training, education requirements, privacy and security; prohibits any state entity from using artificial intelligence in any way that would displace any natural person from their employment with such state entity until the department's final report is received.
