Relates to increased protections for protected classes, special protections for employees who have been sexually harassed, allowing attorney fees for all protected classes, allowing punitive damages, and eliminates the Faragher/Ellerth defense.
Provides that with the first opioid prescription of each year for use in a setting other than a general hospital or nursing home under article twenty-eight of this chapter or facility under article thirty-one of the mental hygiene law, or when a practitioner is prescribing a controlled substance to a patient under the care of hospice, the prescriber shall prescribe an opioid antagonist when any of the following risk factors are present: a history of substance abuse disorder; high dose or cumulative prescriptions that result in over 50 morphine milligram equivalents per day; concurrent use of opioids and benzodiazepine or nonbenzodiazepine sedative hypnotics.
Authorizes individuals to participate in the NY State of Health marketplace without providing information regarding citizenship or lawful residency or requesting or receiving a state or federal subsidy.
Relates to a half fare rate program in the MTA for veterans.
Relates to the establishment of rent adjustments and prohibition of fuel pass-along charges.
Permits the division of housing and community renewal to investigate rent overcharge complaints in rent regulated housing accommodations by reviewing all rent history beyond four years' prior records as needed.
Relates to the closure of hospitals; includes general hospitals, emergency or maternity departments or the surrender of an operating certificate.
Relates to enacting the "community financial services access and modernization act of 2019"; modernizes existing statute to reflect the full scope of financial services available at neighborhood "check cashing" establishments; provides for a comprehensive regulatory framework for the delivery of the expanded financial services currently being offered.
Permits any child who is at least fourteen years of age to have administered to himself or herself, regardless of parental consent, certain immunizations required or recommended by law.
