Requires gas and electric corporations to provide sixty days' notice to customers whenever there is a service rate or charge increase

Maddy summaryThis bill requires gas and electric companies to give their customers at least sixty days' written notice before any increase in service rates or charges takes effect. The law mandates that this notice clearly informs customers about the upcoming price hike for the services they receive. By adding this requirement to the public service law, the measure aims to provide consumers with more time to understand and prepare for potential cost increases on their utility bills.
