Maddy summaryThis bill establishes a maximum caseload limit of twelve families per month for preventative case planning services caseworkers in New York. It grants the Office of Children and Family Services the authority to set these standards while allowing districts to choose stricter limits if desired. Additionally, the legislation mandates that state reimbursement for preventative services will be 100% if local districts maintain spending levels equal to or higher than the previous fiscal year. The changes regarding reimbursement rates and the preventative service caseload cap are set to take effect two years after the bill becomes law.
