Authorizes exemptions from school district real property taxes for volunteer firefighters residing in such school district.
Establishes the police canine vest fund to be used for the purpose of purchasing, maintaining, repairing and replacing soft body ballistic armor vests and other protective equipment for state police and municipal department police canines utilized in the performance of police duties, as well as the purchasing and training of such police canines.
Makes all costs and expenses of the department of public service and public service commission subject to appropriation by the legislature on the certification of the chairman of the department and upon the audit and warrant of the comptroller.
Establishes the veterans' services organization capital support program to provide funding to eligible entities for payment of the capital costs of construction, improvement, repairs, rehabilitation, or reconstruction of facilities owned by eligible entities, and for the acquisition of related equipment with a useful life of not less than ten years; appropriates a sum of $10,000,000 therefor.
Establishes a supplemental household and dependent care credit payment for taxpayers who are eligible for certain household and dependent care services necessary for gainful employment.
Relates to the reporting by the office of fire prevention and control; requires reporting statewide training hours allocated to each firefighter; directs that such report identifies the fire department or district providing training.
Increases the aggregate funds available for the child care tax credit for businesses that provide child care services.
Increases the earned income tax credit for taxable years beginning in 2024.
Establishes a child care program capital improvement tax credit program for child care programs to provide financial assistance to New York's child care providers to facilitate the enhancement, expansion, and improvement of access to quality child care.
Prohibits smoking or vaping tobacco or marijuana in individual units in all multi-unit housing facilities.
