Requires clinical experience for certain mental health practitioners and other mental health professionals; allows such practitioners to make assessment-based treatment plans; makes related provisions.
Prohibits selling a drug subject to a shortage for an unconscionably excessive price.
Enacts the "New York state living donor support act" to provide state reimbursement to living organ donors, who are state residents, for medical and associated expenses incurred as a result of the organ donation, when the organ donation is made to another resident of the state; requires the provision of information on transplantation to patients with severe kidney disease.
Establishes a public awareness campaign to combat the discrimination, stigma and stereotyping of individuals with developmental disabilities and which highlights the accomplishments and contributions of individuals with developmental disabilities to the state and their respective communities.
Relates to due process procedures for persons who currently are placed in New York state education department approved out-of-state residential schools pursuant to the education law and the federal individuals with disabilities education act who have received an offer for transitional care or certain care prior to becoming eligible to receive such care.
Provides for the licensure of school psychologists; authorizes the use of the title "school psychologist" to licensed or exempt individuals; defines practice of school psychology; sets forth requirements for professional licensure (including educational attainment, experience, exam and fee); provides for issuance of limited permits under specified circumstances; identifies exempt persons.
Establishes an addiction recovery supportive transportation services demonstration program to provide such transportation services to individuals while such individual is receiving treatment, including, but not limited to, inpatient, residential or outpatient treatment.
Requires a call-blocking service to be provided in state contracts that include procurement of a voice service; provides that a voice service provider shall not be subject to civil or criminal liability for failure of a call-blocking service to block a call, or mistakenly blocking a call that should not have been blocked.
