Requires the consideration of complete street design for certain transportation projects which receive federal or state funding.
Establishes a legal services veterans tax credit of up to $1,500 for any attorney who performs a minimum of fifty hours of pro bono legal services to a veteran or disabled veteran during a taxable year; provides that such services shall include, but not be limited to, veteran's benefits and appeals, military discharges and upgrades, public benefits, evictions and foreclosures, and consumer debt issues.
Exempts certain veterans service organizations from taxes on the sales of beer, wine and soda.
Establishes the veteran career assistance program within the SUNY and CUNY systems to provide veterans with assistance in resume writing and employment placement services.
Provides residential and day services to certain individuals with a developmental disability where such services are provided by a certified integrated residential community program.
Removes liability for the death of a person caused by any act of persons permitted to use certain premises and removes liability from the owner, lessee or occupant of premises adjacent to such premises.
Provides that a person may be charged with promoting a suicide or manslaughter if he or she is convicted of endangering the welfare of a vulnerable elderly person, an incompetent or physically disabled person and the conduct was the proximate cause of the victim's suicide.
Relates to the eligibility for awards for victims of a crime; includes the commission of suicide within two years after being a victim of a crime as a death that is the direct result of a crime.
Requires the inclusion of diversity and inclusion training in the basic training and pre-employment course curricula for state police officers and municipal police officers and sheriffs, members of fire departments and companies, corrections officers, first responders, emergency medical technicians and advanced emergency medical technicians.
