Backlog Justice Act of 2022 This bill requires certain actions to address the backlog of untested sexual assault kits. For example, the bill (1) directs the Bureau of Justice Assistance to establish a publicly accessible online database regarding untested kits, and (2) requires the Department of Justice to provide an increased amount of certain grant funding for states that have in place electronic evidence tracking systems for these kits.

Stop Taxes Against Menstrual Products Act of 2022 or the STAMP Act of 2022 This bill makes it unlawful for a state or local government to impose a tax on the retail sale of a menstrual product.
Leading Against White Supremacy Act of 2022 This bill establishes a standard for determining whether a person engaged in a white supremacy inspired hate crime. The bill also sets forth the elements of related conspiracies. Specifically, the bill states that a person engaged in a white supremacy inspired hate crime when white supremacy ideology motivated the actions that constituted a crime or were undertaken in furtherance of activity that would have constituted a crime. Additionally, the bill sets forth the elements of an offense involving the conspiracy to engage in a white supremacy inspired hate crime. Finally, the bill authorizes the Department of Justice to investigate, prosecute, and maintain records of white supremacy inspired hate crimes and related conspiracies.
Stealthing Act of 2022 This bill establishes a civil action for the nonconsensual removal of a sexual protection barrier (e.g., a condom). A person may recover compensatory and punitive damages, injunctive and declaratory relief, and such other relief as a court may deem appropriate.
Consent is Key Act This bill directs the Department of Justice to increase a state's allocation of funds under the Sexual Assault Services Program if the state has in effect a law that authorizes civil damages and equitable relief against a person who engages in the nonconsensual removal of a sexual protection barrier (e.g., a condom).
This bill authorizes the Department of Justice (DOJ) to establish a pilot program to determine the effectiveness of body-worn camera continuous training programs in improving policing, including community relations with law enforcement. It allows DOJ to award grants to states and local governments for carrying out these training programs.
Preparing Regulators Effectively for a Post-prohibition Adult-use Regulated Environment Act of 2022 or the PREPARE Act of 2022 This bill directs the Department of Justice to establish the Commission on the Federal Regulation of Cannabis to study a plausible and prompt pathway to cannabis regulation.
Women in Criminal Justice Reform Act This bill establishes programs and requirements to address the health and wellness of women in the criminal justice system. For example, the bill requires the Bureau of Prisons to (1) ensure that all incarcerated women have access to basic standards of health care specific to their needs, and (2) develop and implement gender-responsive training for its officers and employees.
General Motors Bailout Act of 2022 This bill allows the plaintiffs of a 2015 lawsuit against the federal government relating to the 2009 General Motors bankruptcy to collect compensation from the government. The government must make lump-sum payments in specified amounts. (The lawsuit centered on the inability of the plaintiffs to seek relief from General Motors after the bankruptcy for injuries or deaths that occurred from defective vehicles before the bankruptcy.)
Amir Locke End Deadly No-Knock Warrants Act This bill establishes requirements and restrictions related to the authorization and execution of warrants at the federal, state, and local levels.
