Maddy summaryThis bill increases tax credits for solar energy systems that generate both electricity and heat from a single panel (combined photovoltaic and thermal technology). It directly affects homeowners and businesses installing qualifying systems certified to meet specific efficiency standards (65% combined peak efficiency under IEC/UL 61730 and ISO 9806 standards). The key change adjusts the tax credit percentages: raising the maximum credit from 30% to 45% for the first tier, 26% to 41% for the second, and 22% to 37% for the third tier. These higher credits apply to systems installed after June 1, 2022.
