A SENATE RESOLUTION honoring Senator Randy Head upon his retirement from the Indiana Senate.
Requires a person who applies after December 31, 2020, for a license to carry a handgun to first complete an eight hour handgun safety and training program, unless the person is a law enforcement officer, a retired law enforcement officer, or an active or honorably discharged member of the armed forces of the United States. Eliminates a requirement that an applicant for a handgun license must inform the officer to whom the application is made of the reason the applicant is applying for the license. Makes conforming amendments.
Provides that the polls close at 7 p.m. (Under current law, the polls must close at 6 p.m.)
Prohibits an insurer that issues a policy of life insurance, disability insurance, or long term care insurance from taking certain actions with respect to the coverage of individuals who are living organ donors.
