Amends the Chicago Park District Act. Provides that the Chicago Park District may sell, lease, or otherwise convey all or any portion of District-owned property that is used solely and exclusively as office or administrative space.
If Senate Bill 662 of the 95th General Assembly becomes law, amends the Election Code to remove the greater nominating petition signature requirement for county offices in DuPage County (from 1.5% to 0.5% of qualified primary voters). Effective immediately.
Amends the Rights of Crime Victims and Witnesses Act. Provides that the office of the State's Attorney shall, upon the court entering a verdict of not guilty by reason of insanity, inform the victim of the notification services available from the Department of Human Services, including the statewide telephone number. Provides that when the defendant has been committed to the Department of Human Services after being found not guilty by reason of insanity or other provision of the Unified Code of Corrections, the victim may request to be notified by the releasing authority of the defendant's furloughs, temporary release, or final discharge from State custody. Provides that the Department of Human Services shall establish and maintain a statewide telephone number to be used by victims to make notification requests under these provisions, and shall publicize this telephone number on its website and to the State's Attorney of each county.
Creates the Commission on the Eradication of Poverty Act. Provides for appointments and terms of members. Provides for funding through the Department of Human Rights. Requires meetings and reports. Effective immediately.
Amends the Liquor Control Act of 1934 to allow alcoholic liquors to be delivered to and sold at Triton College, Illinois Community College District No. 504. Effective immediately.
Disapproves the 2008 report of the Compensation Review Board.
Amends the Beer Industry Fair Dealing Act. Changes the definition of "successor brewer" to "any person who in any way obtains the distribution rights that a brewer, non-resident dealer, foreign importer, or master distributor once had to manufacture or distribute a brand or brands of beer whether by merger, purchase of corporate shares, purchase of assets, or any other arrangement, including, but not limited to, any arrangements transferring the ownership or control of the trademark, brand, or name of the brand". Effective immediately.
Amends the Liquor Control Act of 1934. Changes the requirements for a foreign importer's license and a non-resident dealer's license to require that the foreign importer or non-resident dealer comply with certain provisions of the Act to the same extent that these provisions apply to manufacturers. Effective immediately.
Amends the Real Estate License Act of 2000. Makes a technical change in a Section concerning the short title.
Mourns the death of Charles M. Kielma Jr. of Lockport.
