Extends the reporting deadline for the Joint Task Force on Deaf and Hard of Hearing Education Options from January 1, 2007 to December 31, 2007.
Amends the Illinois Health Facilities Planning Act. Provides that changes of ownership of facilities licensed under the Nursing Home Care Act must meet the requirements set forth in the Nursing Home Care Act. Provides that facilities that are licensed under the Nursing Home Care Act are exempt from a provision requiring a permit before discontinuing certain health care facilities or categories of service. Makes technical changes. Effective immediately.
Proclaims the month of April 2007 as Autism Awareness Month.
Proclaims May 16, 2007 as Developmental Disability and Autism Family Day.
Amends the Illinois Health Facilities Planning Act. Redefines a "health care facility" to add cardiac catheterization laboratories and medical care facilities that are leased, owned, or operated by or on behalf of an out-of-state facility. Increases the Health Facilities Planning Board from 5 to 9 members. Provides that (i) the installation of swing beds and (ii) an increase in bed capacity of more than 20 (now, more than 10) do not require a permit or exemption in advance. Repeals the Act on July 1, 2012 (now, April 1, 2007). Effective immediately.
Amends the Illinois Emergency Management Agency Act. Requires the emergency operations plan to include the needs of those with pets and service animals.
Amends the School Code. Makes a technical change in a Section concerning instruction.
Amends the Illinois Groundwater Protection Act. Requires the Department of Natural Resources to develop a program to require and issue permits for high-capacity wells. Sets forth requirements for the program. Amends the Environmental Protection Act. Provides that in determining adequacy of the public water supply, the Environmental Protection Agency must determine if the applicant has a sufficient quantity of water to provide for its extraction without adverse impact to the aquifer, environment, or existing wells dependant on the water source. Amends the Water Authorities Act and the Illinois Water Well Construction Code to make corresponding changes. Effective immediately.
Amends the Open Meetings Act. Makes a technical change in a Section concerning the short title.
