Amends the Food Handling Regulation Enforcement Act. Provides that any individual seeking a food service sanitation manager certificate or a food service sanitation manager instructor certificate must receive a passing score on the examination set by the certification exam provider accredited under standards developed and adopted by the Conference for Food Protection or its successor organization (rather than a score of at least 75% on the examination).
Amends the Regulatory Sunset Act. Extends the repeal date of the Professional Geologist Licensing Act from January 1, 2016 to January 1, 2026. Effective immediately.
Amends the School Code and Critical Health Problems and Comprehensive Health Education Act. Makes changes concerning the divisions of the State Board of Education, a block grant progress report and plan, references to English learners, educational service regions, regional and assistant regional superintendents of schools, references to educator licensure, and the advisory committee relating to the Critical Health Problems and Comprehensive Health Education Act. Repeals Sections concerning requiring certain entities to design continuing education programs, the Innovation, Intervention, and Restructuring Task Force, access to the State Board's educational network, the inspection and review of school facilities and a task force, the Ensuring Success in School Task Force, a regional professional development review committee, the Task Force on the Prevention of Sexual Abuse of Children, and the Eradicate Domestic Violence Task Force. Effective July 1, 2015.
Amends the Medical Practice Act of 1987. Provides for the licensure of naturopathic physicians. Makes conforming changes in various other Acts. Effective immediately.
Creates the Colon Hydrotherapist Licensing Act. Establishes licensing requirements for the practice of colon hydrotherapy by the Department of Financial and Professional Regulation and provides that no person shall practice colon hydrotherapy for compensation without a license under the Act. Creates the Colon Hydrotherapy Licensing Board. Establishes guidelines for applications, endorsement, display of licenses, exemptions, advertising, investigations and hearings, continuing education, renewal and restoration of licenses, suspension of licenses, fees, confidentiality, and violations of the Act. Amends the regulatory Sunset Act. Provides for the repeal of the Colon Hydrotherapist Licensing Act on January 1, 2024. Effective on January 1, 2014.
Amends the Acupuncture Practice Act. Makes a technical change in a Section concerning activities exempt from the application of the Act.
Expresses solidarity with the North Korean refugees in their quest for relief from hunger and persecution. Applauds United States Secretary of State John Kerry's initiative for taking steps toward the development of a framework for the resumption of talks with the Democratic People's Republic of Korea and articulates support for development of a Human Rights and Democracy program that includes meaningful cultural and educational exchanges with the Democratic People's Republic of Korea. Calls upon President Barack Obama to appoint a special envoy for human rights in North Korea and implores Congress to take a leadership role in forming an international framework for resettlement of North Korean refugees both here and abroad.
Amends the Genetic Counselor Licensing Act. Defines "address of record". Increases the penalty that may be imposed on an unlicensed person who practices, offers to practice, attempts to practice, or holds himself or herself out to practice as a genetic counselor to an amount not exceed $10,000 (rather than $5,000). Makes changes to certain procedural requirements of the application process. Increases the penalty that may be imposed on a person under provisions concerning grounds for disciplinary actions to an amount not to exceed $10,000 (rather than $5,000). Makes other changes concerning grounds for discipline. Provides that the Secretary of Financial and Professional Regulation may petition for an order enjoining a violation under the Act through the State's Attorney of any county where the violation is alleged to have occurred. Makes changes to provisions regarding the Department's authority to conduct disciplinary investigations and hearings. Removes the requirement that the Department furnish documents relating to disciplinary hearings. Makes other changes. Amends the Regulatory Sunset Act. Extends the repeal date of the Genetic Counselor Licensing Act from January 1, 2015 to January 1, 2025.
Amends the Governor Succession Act. Makes a technical change in a Section concerning the line of succession for the office of Governor.
