Amends the Election Code. Makes a technical change in a Section concerning the short title.
Amends the Juvenile Court Act of 1987. In the expungement review provisions, provides that if the minor appears in person, or by counsel upon a showing that the minor respondent is unavailable due to active military duty or currently out of state attending school (rather than in all cases in which the minor appears in person or by counsel), the court shall hold a hearing to determine whether to expunge the law enforcement and court records of the minor. Provides that evidence of the minor's unavailability at the hearing includes, but is not limited to, a certified certificate of military enlistment, a certified statement of service, or an official school transcript. Effective immediately.
Amends the State Housing Act. Makes a technical change in a Section concerning the Act's purpose.
Amends Public Act 95-0731. Provides that amounts appropriated from the Predatory Lending Database Program Fund to the Department of Revenue for grants pursuant to the Predatory Lending Database Program, administered by the Illinois Housing Development Authority, may also be expended for grants to any HUD-certified counseling agency in any county for: mortgage default counseling activities listed in the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development Housing Counseling Program Handbook; and counseling to a borrower as specified in the Residential Real Property Disclosure Act. Effective immediately.
Amends the Chicago Park District Act. Provides that the Board of Commissioners of the Chicago Park District may levy supplemental property taxes in respect of the recovered tax increment value of certain redevelopment project areas, subject to certain restrictions. Effective immediately.
Amends the Public Building Commission Act. Makes a technical change to a Section concerning the short title.
Requires the Department on Aging, in cooperation with the Area Agencies on Aging and Elder Abuse and Neglect Provider Agencies, to develop a specialized elder abuse training curriculum, in in-person and online versions, to be made available to financial institutions and their trade associations to aid in the training of a variety of financial institution employees and professionals on prevention mechanisms, recognition factors, intervention options, confidentiality, and other legal issues concerning the financial exploitation of an elderly customer. Requires the Department of Financial and Professional Regulation to record overall participation of Illinois-chartered financial institutions in the training.
Amends the Counties Code. Makes a technical change in a Section concerning the short title.
Amends the Property Tax Extension Limitation Law in the Property Tax Code. Provides that the extension limitation may not be less than 2%. Effective immediately.
