CD CORR-PERIODIC IMPRISONMENT

Amends the Unified Code of Corrections. Provides that the court shall not impose a sentence of periodic imprisonment if it imposes a sentence of imprisonment upon the defendant and the court imposed sentence of periodic imprisonment in combination with the period of imprisonment would exceed the maximum sentence of periodic imprisonment for that offense permitted under the Code (rather than the court shall not impose a sentence of periodic imprisonment if it imposes a sentence of imprisonment upon the defendant in excess of 90 days). Effective immediately.

CRIME VICTIMS-VIOLENT CRIME

Amends the Rights of Crime Victims and Witnesses Act. Changes the definition of "violent crime" to include certain motor vehicle violations. Deletes from the definition of "sentencing hearing" cases in which both parties have agreed to the imposition of a specified sentence.

Provides that quick-take proceedings may be used for a period of no longer than one year from the effective date by LaSalle County for the acquisition of land for the purpose of a highway bridge project and other public improvements to serve LaSalle County. Effective immediately.

BAN CRIB BUMPER PADS

Amends the Children's Product Safety Act. Prohibits a person from selling, offering to sell, leasing, or offering to lease a crib bumper pad in the State. Imposes a civil penalty of not less than $100 and not more than $500 for each violation.
