Mourns the death of Robert Molitor, Jr.
Amends the Minimum Wage Law. In language providing that a day camp counselor is not subject to the adult minimum wage if specified requirements are met, deletes a phrase that limited the scope of the language to day camps of organized not-for-profit corporations.
Amends the Downstate Teacher Article of the Illinois Pension Code. Removes language that renders individuals over the age of 18 who are adjudged to be disabled persons under specified provisions of the Probate Act of 1975 and who are receiving specified benefits under the Illinois Public Aid Code ineligible to receive benefits under the Article. Effective immediately.
Amends the Counties Code. Provides that the county board may remove the county treasurer from office if he or she refuses to provide the county board with certain information concerning the accounts maintained by the county treasurer's office or if he or she refuses to render an account or make settlement as required by law (instead of as required by law or by the county board). Effective immediately.
Amends the Department of Human Services Act. Requires the Department to include within its public health promotion programs and materials information directed toward groups at high risk for asthma and pulmonary disorders (as well as diabetes). Requires the Department to report annually to the General Assembly concerning its activities and accomplishments.
Amends the Criminal Code of 1961. Makes a technical change in a Section concerning financial exploitation of an elderly person.
