Amends the Consumer Fraud and Deceptive Business Practices Act. Makes a technical change in a Section concerning the short title.
Amends the Property Tax Code and the Mobile Home Local Services Tax Act. Provides that the disabled veterans' exemption also applies to housing that is donated or improved by a charitable organization if the veteran was eligible to receive federal funds for the purchase or construction of Specially Adapted Housing. Effective immediately.
Amends the Code of Criminal Procedure of 1963. Makes a technical change in a Section concerning the admissibility of hearsay evidence in a prosecution for elder abuse, neglect, or financial exploitation.
Directs the Office of the Auditor General to conduct an investigation to examine the circumstances surrounding Vega's escape and evaluate whether prisoner transport procedures need to be improved at Elgin Mental Health Center and/or all State facilities.
Makes application to Congress for the calling of a convention for proposing amendments to the United States Constitution.
Amends the Illinois Pension Code. Makes a technical change in a Section concerning Chicago municipal employees, officers, and officials.
Amends the Consumer Fraud and Deceptive Business Practices Act. Provides that it is an unlawful practice to claim that another has infringed upon a United States patent if the claim falsely threatens adverse administrative or judicial action, the assertions lack a reasonable basis in fact or law, the person making the assertion is not, or does not represent, a person with a current right to license the patent, or the claim fails to make certain other disclosures. Effective January 1, 2015.
Amends the Great Lakes-St. Lawrence River Basin Water Resources Compact Act. Makes a technical change in a Section concerning the short title.
Amends the Illinois Procurement Code. Provides that the requisite notice regarding every contract that is let shall include the number of unsuccessful bidders (currently unsuccessful responsive bidders). Effective immediately.
Amends the Wildlife Code. Adds the Gray wolf, American black bear, and Cougar to the list of protected species under the Act.
