Amends the Election Code. Requires that public officials and candidates who file campaign finance reports with the State Board of Elections and gubernatorial appointees shall disclose contributions to their legal defense funds in the same manner as public officials and candidates report campaign contributions. Effective July 1, 2003.
Amends the Code of Criminal Procedure of 1963. Makes a technical change in a Section concerning bail on a new trial.
Amends Public Act 93-91. Makes changes to the FY04 appropriations to the Property Tax Appeal Board. Effective immediately.
Amends the Use Tax Act. Makes technical changes in a Section concerning the short title.
Amends the Illinois Income Tax Act. Grants a credit against the tax imposed by the Act in the amount of expenditures during the taxable year for the care of an individual 65 years of age or older who is claimed as a dependent on the taxpayer's federal income tax return. Provides that the amount of the credit for the taxable year may be no more than $1,000 or the taxpayer's tax liability for the year, whichever is less. Allows an excess credit to be carried forward to the tax liability of 2 succeeding taxable years. Exempts the credit from the Act's sunset requirement. Effective immediately.
Amends the Illinois Marriage and Dissolution of Marriage Act. Makes a stylistic change in provisions concerning the application of the Civil Practice Law.
Amends the Clerks of Courts Act. Makes a technical change to a Section concerning fees for the document storage system.
