EMERGENCY TELEPHONE SYS-REPORT

Amends the Emergency Telephone System Act. Repeals provisions requiring each telephone company to file a report (in every even numbered year) with the Illinois Commerce Commission and the General Assembly regarding the telephone company's implementation of a planned emergency telephone system and its projected further implementation of the plan. Effective immediately.

AGING-ELDER CARE AWARD

Amends the Illinois Act on the Aging. Provides that the Department on Aging shall present annual awards in specified categories to direct care workers who are 55 years of age and older. Effective immediately.

MEDICAID-APPLY-NURSING HOME

Amends the Illinois Public Aid Code. Provides that if an applicant for medical assistance is a resident in a nursing home, the Department of Healthcare and Family Services must notify the nursing home, in writing, of the Department's decision on the application. Effective immediately.
