Amends the Park District Code and the Chicago Park District Act. Provides that no park district may discharge any employee of a park district or deny any applicant employment at a park district on the basis of a prior conviction for a cannabis offense if certain requirements are met. Effective immediately.
Amends the Regulatory Sunset Act. Provides that the Land Sales Registration Act of 1999 is repealed on January 1, 2020 (instead of 2010). Effective immediately.
Amends the Chicago Teacher Article of the Pension Code. Provides that salary received on or after July 1, 2010 for overtime, summer school, and other optional service shall be included in the calculation of salary for pension purposes. Amends the State Mandates Act to require implementation without reimbursement. Effective immediately.
Amends the Regional Transportation Authority Act. Makes a technical change in a Section concerning the general powers of the Authority.
Amends the Dental Practice Act. Changes the membership of the Board of Dentistry from 11 members to 13 members, with 4 (rather than 2) members being dental hygienists. Effective immediately.
Amends the Chicago Teacher Article of the Illinois Pension Code. Provides an early retirement incentive program for certain teachers who terminate service on or after February 1, 2011 and on or before June 30, 2011 or on or after February 1, 2012 and on or before June 30, 2012. Allows the purchase of up to 5 years of age enhancement and creditable service. Amends the State Mandates Act to require implementation without reimbursement. Effective immediately.
Amends the Business Corporation Act of 1983. Makes a technical change in a Section concerning the short title.
Amends the Illinois Insurance Code. Makes technical changes in a Section concerning the short title.
Amends the Property Tax Code. Provides that, in counties of 3,000,000 or more inhabitants, each person purchasing property at a sale under the Code must pay to the county collector an additional fee equal to 5% of the taxes, interest, and penalties paid by the purchaser. Effective immediately.
Amends the Real Estate License Act of 2000. Beginning on May 1, 2012, provides that a managing broker, broker, or leasing agent whose license has been expired for more than 2 years but less than 5 years may have it restored by (i) applying to the Department, (ii) paying the required fee, (iii) completing the continuing education requirements for the current pre-renewal period, and (iv) filing acceptable proof of fitness to have his or her license restored, as set by rule. Provides that a managing broker, broker, salesperson, or leasing agent whose license has been expired for more than 5 years shall be required to meet the requirements for a new license (now, 2 years). Also makes technical changes.
