Requires hunting guides who take their clients to hunt on private lands to first obtain written permission from the owner of the private land, or occupier or holder, where appropriate. Requires hunting guides to provide copies of the written permissions obtained to hunt on private lands as part of their annual reports to the Department of Land and Natural Resources. Permits the Department of Labor and Industrial Relations to enter into contracts with eligible employers or registered apprenticeship programs in the private sector to provide on-the-job training to eligible interns. Requires the Department of Human Resources Development to collaborate with the Department of Labor and Industrial Relations for certain portions of the on-the-job-training work experience program. Provides that the State shall be the responsible employer for purposes of workers' compensation coverage for students or recent graduates in the on-the-job-training work experience program, subject to certain limitations. Establishes advisory boards, focused on workforce development, for the Agribusiness Development Corporation, Hawaiʻi Technology Development Corporation, and Natural Energy Laboratory of Hawaiʻi Authority. Effective 7/1/3000. (HD2)
Clarifies the definition of "covered employer" under the Hawaiʻi Retirement Savings Act. Requires covered employers to automatically enroll covered employees into the Hawaiʻi Retirement Savings Program unless the employee chooses to opt out. Repeals and lapses the funds appropriated into and out of the Hawaiʻi Retirement Savings Special Fund in Act 296, Session Laws of Hawaiʻi 2022. Effective 7/1/3000. (HD2)
