Clarifies meaning of existing statute relating to towing of abandoned vehicles by adding definitions; requires tow and storage companies to accept credit cards; includes penalties consistent with unfair practices per chapter 480, Hawaii Revised Statutes. (SD1)
Authorizes advanced practice registered nurses, in addition to physicians, to practice medical aid in dying in accordance with their scope of practice and prescribing authority. Authorizes psychiatric mental health nurse practitioners, in addition to psychiatrists, psychologists, and clinical social workers, to provide counseling to a qualified patient. Reduces the mandatory waiting period between oral requests from twenty days to fifteen days. Waives the mandatory waiting period for those terminally ill individuals not expected to survive the mandatory waiting period. (SD1)
Requires drug manufacturers to notify the insurance commissioner, prescription drug benefit plans, and pharmacy benefit managers if a proposed increase in the wholesale price of certain drugs would result in a per cent or more price increase over a twoyear period. Requires the drug manufacturer to identify and report to the insurance commissioner information on certain drugs whose wholesale acquisition cost increases by a certain amount during a specified time frame. Requires the insurance commissioner to post price information on the Department of Commerce and Consumer Affair's website. Imposes fines. Effective 1/1/2050. (SD1)
Requires that mandatory seller disclosures in real estate transactions include identification of residential real properties lying within the sea level rise exposure area. Effective 11/1/2020. (SD2)
Requires a court to order the charter of a corporation forfeited and the certificate authorizing a foreign corporation to do business in the State revoked upon a felony or misdemeanor conviction of the corporation or its high managerial agent that is related to its business affairs. Repeals the requirement for findings for a court to order forfeiture of a charter or revocation of a certificate. Requires similar penalties for various partnership entities and limited liability companies and their foreign counterparts convicted of a felony or misdemeanor. Permits the winding up of the business. (SD1)
