RELATING TO COFFEE BERRY BORER.

Extends the sunset date for the Coffee Berry Borer Pesticide Subsidy Program until 6/30/2025, for the purchase of pesticides containing Beauveria bassiana to combat the coffee berry borer. Extends the program manager position to 6/30/2026. Appropriates funds. Effective 7/1/2050. (SD2)

RELATING TO AGRICULTURE.

RELATING TO SCHOOL BUSES.

Requires certain school bus contracts entered into after 1/1/2050 to require contracted-for vehicles to be propelled by electric power or a non-fossil fuel and to be equipped with seat belt assemblies. Requires the Department of Education to submit a report regarding certain aspects relating to implementation of the requirements of section 302A-407(b), HRS. Effective 7/1/2050. (SD2)

RELATING TO TEACHER RENTAL HOUSING.

Authorizes the Hawaii Public Housing Authority and Hawaii Housing Finance and Development Corporation to provide rental housing projects for teachers employed by the Department of Education and public charter schools. Appropriates funds for the Hawaii Public Housing Authority. Appropriates funds for deposit into the dwelling unit revolving fund. Requires the Department of Education to lease land and contract with private entities for the development, management, maintenance, or revitalization of teacher housing. Permits a project owner to lease teacher housing to other eligible tenants if occupancy of teacher housing falls below 95%. Effective 7/1/2050. (SD2)

Authorizes the Department of Education to provide incentives to enhance the recruitment and retention of public school and early education teachers. RELATING TO SEX OFFENDERS.

Prohibits a sex offender from residing within two thousand feet of the sex offender's former victim or the victim's immediate family members. Requires the covered offender to receive approval from the Attorney General prior to a change in address. Takes effect 8/26/2050. (SD1)

RELATING TO LAND USE.

Authorizes county land use decision-making authorities to amend district boundaries involving land areas greater than fifteen acres, except non important agricultural land or rural land areas greater than fifteen acres but no more than twenty-five acres if the land areas are proposed for reclassification to the urban district and at least sixty per cent of the land areas will be dedicated for the development of affordable housing. Effective 12/31/33. (SD1)
